Ideally, a relationship should be built on trust, respect and honesty. Keeping important things to yourself and not sharing it with your partner might eventually ruin your relationship.

You probably know several Russian or Ukrainian brides named Anastasia since it is one of the most popular names given to females of the former Soviet Union. Like the Greek male name Anastasius, it means “resurrection” and was the name of several early saints. Another popular Anastasia was the youngest daughter of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. Many marriages and dating relationships fail years before the loving couples meet. The exposure to a value system that promotes the acquisition of material possessions has a direct affect on our development as children. We learn early in life to take control of our material possessions.

This activity awakens our selfish nature and fortifies it as we mature. We learn to believe that we can do what we want with those possessions, my wife, my husband, my money, my toys, my bike, my car, my woman, my man, and mine, mine, mine! Unconsciously we believe these possessions are our slaves and should be at our beckon call or perform a particular function that we desire. At anytime, when our possessions do not conform to our desires or expectation, we become outraged. The reality is these are not our possessions, especially human beings.

I passed the following article to my wife Lena and she found herself in complete agreement with it. Her twin sister and several of her girlfriends (see above) are currently dealing with the normal trials and tribulations of being a single girl and dealing with the more negative aspects of the dating in Russia and the FSU.

So in case you haven’t noticed yet…

It ain’t easy being a single girl in this part of the world. And indeed many of the married women also have more then their share of troubles as well. So with this in mind there has always been a great deal of speculation on behalf of these ladies as to what Men are like on the outside.

I’ve been working on a pretty cool project in this part of the world that will be a good business and networking opportunity for a willing investor.

I can’t go into the details of what this project is on an open forum like this but there is a great deal of potential upside for someone who is searching for a way to either live over here or to get personalized long term support from myself in finding the lady of their dreams.

I originally felt like you were presenting a rational post until you flip flopped and pushed the standard Feminist accusation that Men who want more STABLE wives in their lives are looking for “Slaves”..

I really thought about trying to craft a polite response to you because you showed some sympathies towards your male friends and the difficulties they have with their wives or girlfriends.

Unfortunately you have bought into too much of the Feminist “party line” for this so there is really no other way to get my point across (and to maybe get you to think differently) unless I come out and admonish you with both guns blazing..

So saying that.. I have 2 things I’d like to bring up…

Too Bad the Russians don’t celebrate Halloween like we do in the States.

I really do miss going to the costume parties and seeing everyone bringing out their alter-ego’s for one day out of the year.

When I talk about our Halloween traditions to Russian people they love the idea but think it’s a bit crazy. They ask me if even “serious” Government and Official People dress up in costumes on this day. I tell them that for the most part yes.

I just heard an unbelievable story from a lady friend of mine who works in a local business office.

A Woman walked into her office and introduced herself as a Manager for a new Marriage Agency in town.

She was specifically pitching “a new service” to the older single women in the office. And there are many of them as you can imagine. These women are at a huge competitive disadvantage because of the great numbers of younger women that are available here.

So the Marriage Agency Lady starts telling the older women (and I need to paraphrase here)..

“Look we know you want to find an American Husband and we are going to do that for you. What we will do is take a photo of you and we will photoshop it and make you look up to 20 years younger. Then we will post this photo along with a profile about you that any American Man would dream about on one of their Dating Sites and then we will start writing letters to Men we find on your behalf. It doesn’t matter if you don’t speak English or if you have a Poor Education we will “change” all of that for you.”

“All you need to do is give us some money and “we will take care of all of this”.. And you will be in business.”

Some of my previous posts, I stressed the importance of your social network in Russia and the former Soviet Union to find a true lady.

Although the introduction of the agency is not my most recommended option, I can understand that many men will continue on this path in order to get started.

However, I believe there is a lot better and safer way to roll into this without encountering any of the many scams that unfortunately exist in this area.

There are literally millions of Russian, Ukrainian and Eastern European countries are already living in the West. And many of these people have immigrated recently or still have ties back to their homeland.

Exemption contributes to the West. Even a short time ago, it was mainly young men who attended night clubs and bars on a regular basis. However, now you can not see the good women out there. Most of them go to nightclubs for some other reason than just to meet someone. They go there to dance, to get some drinks and a nice chat.


In Russia there are now almost as many restaurants, bars and nightclubs, such as in the West. Girls and women also visit these places, although there are still fewer women than men. For this reason, many palaces of entertainment offering free entry for girls and sometimes present in each of them with a glass of champagne to maintain a balance between men and women.


Despite the effort spent on the field, the number of girls in places like that is relatively small. In Russian they are called "hangouters". This is a special kind of woman. It is unlikely to meet with them on dating sites, because they hardly know how to use a computer, and then sometimes can barely read and write. The remaining girls go to clubs twice a year for no more than a few friends to celebrate a birthday or birthday of their own.
