Letter Writing Advices
If you are going to look for a Russian wife you surely understand that you will have to write letters to each other before you meet in person. Here are some advices that will help you to start a relationship with a lady who will probably become an important part of your life.
When writing letters to a Russian woman, address her by her full first name, for example “Dear Tatiana” or “Dear Maria”. It’s better not to use just “Hello” or something like “I’m looking for a nice loving woman. Please write back if you are interested” in your introduction letter. Chances to get a reply are low in this case. A woman should get the feeling that you are writing only to her.
Be polite and friendly. It’s very significant to show your respect to the woman by being polite in your letters. Avoid phrases like: “Hey baby” or “My hot girl” in the introduction letter. It would be better to make a nice compliment for her. So you don’t seem pushy and not serious. At the same time be sincere. Don’t be afraid to show your serious intentions.
Be honest and give authentic information about yourself. Such info as your height, weight, age, education and career have to be true to fact, sure if you have serious intentions and don’t want any misconception later on.
Tell your lady about your family status. If you are divorced tell her about it. If you have children state their names and age.
Share information about yourself that you think she will find interesting. Check her profile, find out about her hobbies and interests. Remember that it would be wonderful if she finds out that you two have much in common.
Avoid talking about such topics as sex, politics, sport etc. in the first letter. You will have a chance to discuss these controversial topics in your next letters when you become closer.
Ask her questions. If you speak only about yourself in your letter this won’t help you at all. Remember about the importance of having a dialog instead of monologue. Ask whether she likes to visit restaurants and night clubs, whether she has a pet, whether she lives with her parents, if she can drive, if she likes her job, if she plans to have children, what country she would prefer to live in, what she likes and dislikes about her country/city and about her life in general. The questions you put will also help her write a reply to you
And don’t tell everything about yourself in the first letter. Let her ask questions too.
Don’t write about you wealth and don’t try to impress her with your intelligence. If a woman is sincerely looking for a life partner she surely needs a serious and secure man, but that doesn’t mean that she is after money. She just needs a man who is able to provide the family, not a fat cat. Making emphasis on your money you can attract “wrong” type of women.
Use simple language and a spell checker so your woman can easily understand what you mean.
Send her good photos, but not more than two with your introductory letter. Try to find those where you are smiling. It’s even better to take studio photos for this purpose. Don’t send pictures of your house, car and other possessions. Also you shouldn’t send photos where you are with your friends in a bar or with other women even if they are just your friends.
Try to keep the letter not too short and not too long. You can’t show your interest in 2 or 3 sentences. Besides in this case you will get the same short reply. And the purpose of the correspondence is to learn each other better, to help to decide whether you match each other. But don’t make your letter too long either. One page will be enough.
