There's no telling what a pair of attractive single love-seekers might do in a darkened room when they're left to their own devices.

Unless you're filming them with night vision technology, that is.

The new Foxtel love quest show Dating In The Dark gives viewers the inside scoop on what goes on between two people when they let their barriers down - the good, the bad and the eyeball licking. (Yes, that's right. Eyeball licking).

Host Laura Dundovic explains the premise of the show is to remove people's looks from the equation as a group of three men and three women who have been profiled to have similar interests and attitudes start dating in a pitch black room.

"It take the whole looks thing out of dating, for the most part," the 2008 Miss Australia tells AAP on set at Whale Beach, on Sydney's northern beaches.

"Attraction is not so much about looks as it's about chemistry - that might be someone's charisma or the energy they give off, not necessarily about how they look.

"What makes it different to other dating shows is that you're able to absolutely isolate personality."

I’m always amazed at the beautiful Russian Women you can find just simply by walking around the immediate area you are in.

One day you might be in a train station just watching all the pretty ladies walk by or the next day while stepping into a salon to get your hair cut you just might run into a stunning receptionist like the lovely Natasha here.

You might find her smile to be intoxicating and her demeanor to be enchantingly friendly and for those reason alone curiosity gets the best of you and a conversation is started.

I was at an Internet cafe the other day and noticed something worth sharing with you.

Seated next to me in the next computer cubicle was a very lovely lady in her mid 20′s.

Now because we were seated so closely to each other and because there was only a tiny partition between each cubicle… Everyone could easily see what everybody else was doing.

Now let me say first off that I respect people’s privacy but when you are in this situation it’s pretty hard NOT to see what the other person is doing on their computer.

Anyways this lady was busy navigating her way through an American dating site and corresponding with a gentlemen who had listed his profile online.

Now even though I personally believe that there is no real substitute for actually going out into the world and meeting prospective dates in person..

I’m not blind to the fact that this is still a positive thing since the spread of the internet gives a growing number of these ladies more chances to expand their relationship choices beyond their hometown.

I just heard an unbelievable story from a lady friend of mine who works in a local business office.

A Woman walked into her office and introduced herself as a Manager for a new Marriage Agency in town.

She was specifically pitching “a new service” to the older single women in the office. And there are many of them as you can imagine. These women are at a huge competitive disadvantage because of the great numbers of younger women that are available here.

So the Marriage Agency Lady starts telling the older women (and I need to paraphrase here)..

“Look we know you want to find an American Husband and we are going to do that for you. What we will do is take a photo of you and we will photoshop it and make you look up to 20 years younger. Then we will post this photo along with a profile about you that any American Man would dream about on one of their Dating Sites and then we will start writing letters to Men we find on your behalf. It doesn’t matter if you don’t speak English or if you have a Poor Education we will “change” all of that for you.”

“All you need to do is give us some money and “we will take care of all of this”.. And you will be in business.”

So nice of Spring, at last, begun.

This is one of those few times a year, where the weather is right .. not a lot of mosquitoes and flies swirling around and only occasional clouds of dust that blows in the wind with you.
