Too Bad the Russians don’t celebrate Halloween like we do in the States.

I really do miss going to the costume parties and seeing everyone bringing out their alter-ego’s for one day out of the year.

When I talk about our Halloween traditions to Russian people they love the idea but think it’s a bit crazy. They ask me if even “serious” Government and Official People dress up in costumes on this day. I tell them that for the most part yes.

Foreigners married and moving abroad of Russian women often insist on taking their children with them, even if the child is not too small. This situation is normal, and I think we need to be ruthless to slow down. However, some women go further and try to take abroad by their mothers, brothers, sisters, aunts and even grandparents. I heard about a woman who tried to persuade her new husband to take her ex-husband with them, because his son has to miss him a lot. If you love this woman reason to satisfy such a request?


As soon as you ask it concerns a distant relative, of course, he just wanted to make a profit you and I doubt anything that he thinks of you. However, if it was his mother, he wanted to return it, rather delicate matter.


 The problem of relations between man and the laws of a wide spread in Russia. Russians are a lot of jokes on the subject. But what is the basis for the notorious conflict? This stubbornness of a spouse or a trick of his laws? This is not the first or second? In fact, the Russians are not currently practicing a close relationship between several generations of a dynasty make. A married woman who keeps contact with his mother, should be enough infantile. It does not make a good wife. He was not grown up enough to be his wife and prefers to play the helpless little daughter. Such a woman is unable to make decisions about themselves, and since then has been under the strong influence of his wife and mother. The case where there is even a small difference in their view, inevitably lead to serious disagreements. You should never agree to let her mother to intrude into your family life if it can easily turn into a battlefield. If your fiancee insists on taking his mother in another country, you'd better find another woman. However, you will be happy with my wife likes.

There have been some special moments in my life when someone confides in me a personal story that truly moves me.

So here’s a story that I’d like to share with you so hopefully you can get an idea as to what REAL Character, Strength and Fortitude is all about.

Recently I was privileged to hear a personal story about a very special and profoundly beautiful young lady I’ll call Jennifer.

As with all personal stories concerning Russian people history always plays a huge role.

For most of these people the years surrounding the breakup of the Soviet Union was a completely chaotic and dangerous time to live in.

For Jennifer and her family this was certainly the case since they lived in the neighboring country of Kazakhstan during the collapse of the USSR.

When Kazakhstan declared itself as an independent country the indigenous Central Asian “Kazakhs” that lived there decided that it was time for some payback for the many years of iron fisted Soviet rule over their ancestral lands. Although they declared independence away from Moscow they didn’t necessarily stop there.

Methodically they started to marginalize and discriminate against the millions of Ethnic Russians that had already lived in Kazakhstan for many years. Many Russians that were previously involved in building up Kazakhstan society soon found themselves without opportunities for jobs or a higher education as “greater priority” was given to the “locals” instead.

If you are open to the world around you, you will be surprised to learn about the wonders this world is full of and certainly Russia is one of them. This is a wonderful country. When you start to deal with Russians, you can be shocked by many things which may happen to be customary in Russia.

People tend to be inclined to generalization, which is wrong in itself because every person is unique, but still the common traits are easily followed, from which we can conclude that Russians are very cordial and welcoming people.

There are so many things for a foreigner in Russia he could be amazed with. This is the country of contrasts, with the most chic cars every foreigner dreams about, in the streets of Moscow and poverty of country houses at the same time. The cultural heritage is great and Russian spirit penetrates through everything in Russia. Travelling to Russia will surely be a unique experience, which you will remember all your life.

Russia passed through hard period not long ago and its history contains many shocking facts, which may be unclear for the foreigner’s mind, not prepared to accept and digest this info. In the 90-s of the last century, for example, only seven percent of the whole population of the country paid taxes.

The original unique features are expressed in many ways in Russia and they manifest themselves in a number of ways. People are open and sincere with you and this is a usual thing here. They are very hospitable. Once invited to somebody’s home, you will be surprised to see the affluence of tasty delicious things on the table served for you, even if people living here hardly know you. They treat you as a family member. This welcoming hospitality conquers the heart of every foreigner, who comes with fear to Russia and leaves the part of his heart here when leaving this country.

Anna Chapman, the young Russian woman at the centre of "deep cover" spy ring allegations has been romantically involved with a rich businessman more than twice her age, it has been claimed.

Miss Chapman, 28, told friends she had been seeing Michael Bittan, 60, a New Jersey millionaire, after they met more than a year ago in a Manhattan nightclub popular with Russians.

"He was older but he clearly loves surrounding himself with beautiful women, mostly Russian, and since the spring Anna was in his inner circle," a member of the same party set told the New York Daily News.

Miss Chapman, who moved to New York in February after living for in London for four years, could be jailed for five years if convicted of conspiracy to act as the agent of a foreign government.

Described by a prosecutor as a "practised deceiver", she has already been denied bail as a potential flight risk.

I think congratulations to the people in the Turkish Mediterranean city of Antalya.

I can probably guess that these people are quite happy to live among such people Russian ladies.

Times have changed and the new generation of Russian brides is very different from what Russian women and girls used to be 10 years ago.

The new generation Russian bride is smart, successful and educated. The conditions in major Russian cities such as Moscow and St. Petersburg are similar of any European city. Russian people are proud of their heritage and remember, Russia is still the largest country in the world (nearly double the size of the second geographically largest country in the world, Canada); Russians were the first to send a human into space and Russia's college education level is over 60% of population.

Internet and other modern conveniences such as email and mobile phones are accessible to any person. Russia is a highly urbanized country with the majority of population living in cities, most owing their homes/apartments.

According to some reports there are more dollar billionaires in Moscow than in New York (thanks to very favorable Russian tax policies), and Russia is a primary importer of European luxury cars.

So, what does it mean for the new generation of Russian brides, who are joining online dating agencies today?

I just heard an unbelievable story from a lady friend of mine who works in a local business office.

A Woman walked into her office and introduced herself as a Manager for a new Marriage Agency in town.

She was specifically pitching “a new service” to the older single women in the office. And there are many of them as you can imagine. These women are at a huge competitive disadvantage because of the great numbers of younger women that are available here.

So the Marriage Agency Lady starts telling the older women (and I need to paraphrase here)..

“Look we know you want to find an American Husband and we are going to do that for you. What we will do is take a photo of you and we will photoshop it and make you look up to 20 years younger. Then we will post this photo along with a profile about you that any American Man would dream about on one of their Dating Sites and then we will start writing letters to Men we find on your behalf. It doesn’t matter if you don’t speak English or if you have a Poor Education we will “change” all of that for you.”

“All you need to do is give us some money and “we will take care of all of this”.. And you will be in business.”

God, I love it ..

But of course I feel sorry for the poor bastards who are facing this very dangerous Ukrainian Secret Weapon ...

I do not know where this picture came from ..

But apparently, this is some sort of military parade day of the demonstration squad cute and sexy Ukrainian girls in "full dress", and in marching formations.

Hmm, I think it's time to take a "vacation" in the Ukraine sometime soon ..
