As you look at the photos I’ve been posting I want you to be especially aware of the “story” that each one tell you.

I’ve noticed that many Russian people are very good at deeply reading into a person’s facial expressions. They have this uncanny ability to tell you a person’s emotional state and their background character far better then most Americans or Westerner’s I’ve known. This is a valuable skill to develop.

It’s hard for faces to lie.. Especially the eyes.. And if you start keeping this in mind as you look at all of these photos I’m sure you will be able to develop your intuition and to learn a whole heck of alot..

Too Bad the Russians don’t celebrate Halloween like we do in the States.

I really do miss going to the costume parties and seeing everyone bringing out their alter-ego’s for one day out of the year.

When I talk about our Halloween traditions to Russian people they love the idea but think it’s a bit crazy. They ask me if even “serious” Government and Official People dress up in costumes on this day. I tell them that for the most part yes.

Ok Let’s face it..

We American’s generally DON’T know how to dress ourselves to an acceptable standard..

And yes I’m talking about us Men as well..

(Because we’ve already said more then a few things about the obvious lack of fashion sense that many American Women are deprived of.)

I don’t know how we lost our ability as a culture to look good.. but I think it has much to do with our desire to remain a class-less oriented society throughout our history along with the counter-culture and anti-establishment movements which grew from the 60′s on.

Lately, it seems, struck the Western press articles about Russian women go out and nice to see them getting this positive recognition of the fact that many of them deserve.

One of the things I appreciate about this is how a lot of beauty contests in Russia and the former Soviet Union, to promote the traditional feminine values ​​and virtues.

Gee, what a concept.

In-case you were wondering where I was recently ..

2 weeks ago I finally decided to make the big switch from dumping Windows Vista and install Ubuntu.

For those of you not there .. technogeeks

Ubuntu just the Linux operating system bundled with a very user-friendly graphical interface and applications with open source.

A terrible fire in a nightclub killed 112 people in the city of Perm.

From my experience in these places I would not be surprised if the majority of these victims were young women who were simply looking forward to entertaining evening at a local club.

Although I personally have never been in Perm, I made a few friends from this city.

I know that tragedies occur all the time.
