![]() 2 weeks ago I finally decided to make the big switch from dumping Windows Vista and install Ubuntu. For those of you not there .. technogeeks Ubuntu just the Linux operating system bundled with a very user-friendly graphical interface and applications with open source. Now, since I'm the kind of guy who needs to understand all (or at least believe that he does), I dove head first into this mysterious subject. Needless to say, it was a completely new world, which really blown my mind and taken the experience out of my wildest imagination of what a computer can do. Not only that Ubuntu is incredibly nice to look at, but it is also stable as a rock and runs like there's no tomorrow. Simply put .. My computer has been transformed into a completely different car. Of course, the same hardware, but it is clear that its software, which makes all the difference. So I think it's safe to say that I'm never going back to dear old Vista .. As I continued with this fun adventure certain technical deja vu struck when I remembered that I could finally put a foot down and learn the real truth about Russian women. All parallels are, of course. * The initial anxiety of the unknown. * Steep learning curve. * The joy of discovery of hidden treasures. * And the award include this deep discovery in my life. I think the meta-physical scientist and writer Terence McKenna said it best. "The culture of your operating system." And regardless of operating system you have installed completely determines how you perceive and interact with the world. So if you find yourself thinking about the meaning of life. (And, in particular, about the real women ..) Understand that most of the western women who surround you pretty much came pre-installed with "Vista". And these same ladies strutting around, thinking that their bloated and buggy GUI "shell" is the best thing out there. Meanwhile, the non-Vista land .. There seems to be a completely different class of women who continue to work together just fine without a glitch and having to reboot all the time .. |
