I recently had the opportunity to speak with a charming and statuesque young woman named Natasha, who spent last summer in the USA under 4 months of work and tourist visa.

She went to Maryland and waitresses-Ed in the family restaurant, who gave her a unique perspective on the "norms" of American food and dining.

So, to say the least ..

She was completely shocked at the large amount of food that can be consumed by one person in one sitting.

She was even more shocked when she realized that this time National Geographic bi-pedal hunters devour their "Grand Slam" production does not limit itself only to males.

Now she's always heard the classic stereotypes about a large percentage of American women who are "good feed" and run without the risk of fading any time soon.

But for any Russian girl about this and hear this one ..

It is another matter all together ..

Currently, in the interest of not wanting to throw Russia - U.S. relations back another 20 years or so ...

Allow me to gracefully avoid stunned impressions of a young Siberian girl in America and the detour around the fact that Natasha told me about the appearance of many women she met ..

And instead, let me describe the most common comment from these ladies, she was repeatedly lobbed to Natasha on her first initial contact with her.

"My God, girl .. What's wrong with you!" You're too thin! "

Currently, some warped perspective of what many American women may perceive .. this initial shock, usually followed by ..

"Why do not you eat!"

Now keep in mind that Natasha looks like a sports player volleyball. And beautiful, healthy, happy and volleyball player in this.

Of course, we are not dealing with Calista Flockhart, Karen Carpenter or Twiggy follower here.

Also, we are dealing with a woman who was born in a situation of hunger in sub-Saharan Africa either.

But if you were a fly on the wall and listened to the commentary, that Natasha has sent the number of "very confident" of American women ..

(Women who are simply part of the popular family restaurants that offer all you can eat specials.)

You probably could have sworn that our poor Natasha was just another victim of some crazy Communist collectivization of agriculture schemes and forced to live by and a few meager potato bush age ..

Unfortunately, because of the repetitive nature of the criticism of our poor Natasha got .. it is a seemingly short-term crises of identity, as she told how these American ladies were judged as she shyly asked me ..

"Do I look OK to you?"

My answer to her was simple ..

"Natasha, you know what the word means JEALOUSY?

And with that simple question of its resilient nature of magically beamed through time and quickly dispelled all lingering dull her sense of dignity left.

She smiled, giggled and thanked me and then turned and walked away to meet with her equally beautiful and finish her friends who were waiting for her.

Since I started to head in another direction, I remembered thinking to myself.

"Well, with that said Natasha was not sure how to help an old lady cross the street .. but I've done a good deed for the day, and I still feel happy about it."

Good sense really ..

Especially when you realize that girls like Natasha ..

It seems the norm here.
